According to ABC News, the news of Mandy Moore's divorce to Adams became official last week, as representatives for the estranged couple made an announcement to the press.
"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years," said their reps, according to Yahoo! "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."
Of course, it is unknown whether the actress has felt harassed by the media ever since the announcement of Mandy Moore's divorce. Years ago, as she was being interviewed by PBS, Moore was asked whether she'd had any though time with love, to which she replied that she'd had it easy and felt she was "unscathed" by her past relationships, which include tennis player Andy Roddick and Adam Goldstein, best known as DJ AM, when she was in her early twenties, before meeting Ryan Adams.
Things seem to have changed and this time Moore is heartbroken due to her split to longtime husband, according to Us Weekly. Following the announcement of Mandy Moore's divorce, the actress referenced on Instagram that Mercury's currently in retrograde, a planetary alignment that's supposed to be related to bad luck and unexpected events - in any case, the singer and actress may be looking at the stars for answers during this difficult time.
