Paula Patton Divorces Robin Thicke: Los Angeles Court Grants End Of ‘Blurred Lines’ Singer’s Marriage

Following a very public separation with her singer husband Robin Thicke, now it's confirmed that Paula Patton's divorce to the "Blurred Lines" singer is final, after Thicke actually attempted to win her back by releasing an album named after her, featuring a set of songs dedicated to the actress in an attempt to "Get Her Back."

It's been a tough few weeks for Thicke, as only days ago a court ruled against him in a plagiarism lawsuit regarding the 2013 hit, as he, Pharrell Williams and T.I., and now they'll have to pay $7.4 million to the Marvin Gaye estate - and for Thicke, this was followed almost immediately by the Paula Patton divorce.

Trying to prevent the Paula Patton divorce, Thicke went through a series of songs and presentations in an attempt to win back his wife after he reportedly cheated on her, as well as having said publicly that he went through a period of alcohol addiction in the last few months of their relationship, as he rode the incredible success of "Blurred Lines," one of the top earners for 2013.

According to The Huffington Post, the Paula Patton divorce was granted last Tuesday in a Los Angeles court, where the terms of their separation were dealt with, including the custody and visitation rights of their 4 year-old son Julian Fuego.

As USA Today reports, it was the "Precious" actress who filed for the Paula Patton divorce last year, citing irreconcilable differences to end their 9-year marriage.

Thicke and Patton had been together for most of their lives, as they met when they were both teenagers, and she was the inspiration for many of his songs, as well as appearing in a few of his video clips.

The New York Daily News reports that the Paula Patton divorce won't be official until next month, on April 14, six months after she filed for it.
