Kraft Mac And Cheese Recall 2015: Metal Pieces Found In Popular Children’s Food, How Are Kraft’s Stocks Looking?

One of the company's most popular food products, present in just about every restaurant in America as a part of children's menus, is now part of a major controversy throughout the country as the Kraft Mac and Cheese recall of 2015 sees hundreds of thousands of boxes of the instant food product voluntarily recalled by the major company.

Of course, the first effects of the Kraft Mac and Cheese recall of 2015 are already noticeable in the company, as sales of the company's shares have fallen ever since the official announcement, when parents all over the United States are concerned about the health of their children.

According to USA Today, the Kraft Mac and Cheese recall of 2015 has already caused a major drop in sales for the company's shares, as last Wednesday (when the voluntary recall was announced) Kraft saw its shares drop 1.91 percent, as some experts presume there will be further consequences market-wise for the food company, whose full name is Kraft Foods Group.

However, Time Magazine doesn't seem to think that the Kraft Mac and Cheese recall of 2015 will affect the company's sales in the long term, as less than four years ago, Kraft went through a similar recall ordeal with their Velveeta Shells & Cheese, and their sales dropped for a few days and then went back to normal, as it's a considered a traditional and well-respected large company.

The company issued the Kraft Mac and Cheese recall of 2015 voluntarily, after they received reports of 8 cases of the product in which metal had been found, though no injuries as of yet. This made Kraft recall 242,000 of the product, with "best when used by" dates that go from September 18 of 2015 to October 11 of this same year, under the code C2.

CBC has reported that the Kraft Mac and Cheese recall of 2015 doesn't include Canada, as no products with those expiration dates were sold in the country.
