Blue Bell Recall: [+REPORT] Blue Bell Taking All Products Off Market After Severe Listeria Threat

Blue Bell Recall - Blue Bell Creameries announced on Monday night that they are recalling all of its products in the market after another incident linking to listeria were found. The Texas-based company Blue Bell recall comes after two samples of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream tested positive for listeria.

Blue Bell Recall has been hitting the headlines after repeated cases of contamination of listeria have been linked to its rosters of products from the last months. Blue Bell Recall list includes ice cream, sherbet, frozen yogurt and frozen snacks allocated all over 23 states and international sites.

"We are heartbroken over this situation and apologize to all our loyal Blue Bell fans and customers. Our entire history has been dedicated to making the highest quality ice cream we possibly could and we're committed to fixing the problem," Paul Kruse, President and CEO of Blue Bell said in a video statement Monday.

"Ice cream is a joy and a pleasure to eat. It certainly is for me and I do it everyday and it should never be a cause for concern. And for that, we do apologize and we are going to get it right."

Kruse feeling very disappointed over the massive Blue Bell Recall stated that the company has been doing everything to pinpoint where the contamination originated and until now, they are hoping to find how the contamination was introduced into the manufacturing site, according to NBC DFW.

Kruse continued that Blue Bell is dedicated in doing the right thing 100 percent and the only way to do that is to make sure that they will remove all their products in the market by Blue Bell Recall until they are guaranteed safe for everyone's consumption.

The first Blue Bell Recall happened last month after five people were infected with listeriosis following consumption of creamery products. Three deaths had been reported in Kansas and it was traced to Blue Bell production line in Brenham, Texas, the Chicago Tribune reports.

However, in early April, Food World News reported another listeria outbreak linking contamination to its foreclosed Blue Bell Broken Arrow plant after banana pudding ice cream pints and other creameries tested positive for listeriosis.

In the press release on the company's official website, the company states that Blue Bell Recall is retrieving all its products distributed in convenience stores, supermarkets and food service accounts in all the 23 states and international outlets.

The Blue Bell Recall decision comes after the company investigated careful examination on all its products and found that Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream half gallons produced on March 17, 2015 and March 27, 2015 contained Listeria monocytogenes bacteria that can cause serious and fatal infections to people especially those with weak immune systems.
