Amy Schumer on 'The Bachelorette'? Actress Offered Role, #DraftAmy Trends on Twitter

It seems like ABC has chosen the next girl to be 'The Bachelorette' as the broadcasting company offered the role to Amy Schumer after being a guest on last Monday's episode.

The 33-year old actress and comedienne, who is best known for her own show 'Inside Amy Schumer,' helped current Bachelorette Kathryn Bistrowe judge her suitor's sense of humor.

"JJ is a sweet person. He's just missing charisma and humility and a sense of humor," Schumer said.

Bistrowe then posted a tweet on her official Twitter account. "Ugh. I wish I would have kissed @amyschumer when I had the chance," she said "I was on a roll damn it #TheBachelorette."

After her epic appearance on the show, the Internet was making noises, calling for Schumer to be star next season and find her true love.

In response, ABC's senior vice president of Alternative Series, Specials and Late Night Programming posted an "official offer" to the MTV Awards host. Fans went crazy and soon the hashtag #DraftAmy went viral on the social media platform.

Schumer replied to the tweet yesterday, seemingly accepting the offer, and accompanied the post with a photo of her seemingly flying off a stage.

Twitter then went crazy and showed support for the actress. While 'The Bachelorette' is typically seen as a show for the female audice, men will be willing to watch the show if Amy Schumer will be casted.

User @NewsCommentBTR even said, "I've never seen The Bachelor or Bachelorette but if @amyschumer does it, I'll put my man card away for a few weeks to watch. ;) #DraftAmy"

Fans will have to wait until the current season ends as it just premiered on May 18 to see if ABC will in fact draft Amy Schumer.

The Bachelorette airs every Monday at 8 PM on ABC.
