After Nicki Minaj posted huge heart-shaped rock on Instagram, many were led to believe that the "Anaconda" rapper would be getting married to Meek Mill sometime soon.
In fact, a source told E! News that the couple was engaged at the time: "Nicki has been waiting for this special day for some time and Meek wants to make it perfect and a fairy tale come true for her."
An insider also said, "Both Meek and Nicki have been spending amazing quality time together lately and have gotten extremely close these past few months. It may seem like it all is happening very quickly but Nicki and Meek are in this 100. They truly love each other."
Rapper Drake even congratulated Minaj on stage at Coachella. He said, "Congratulations and all that."
Mill even revealed that his grandmother also believed the rumors to be true. "Whatever she sees on TV, she believes," Mill dished.
However, Mill told Fader magazine in a cover interview that wedding bells aren't coming just yet. "It's definitely real. But it ain't really time to get married yet. We're still learning each other, feeling each other out," he said in April.
Rapper T.I., who did the interview, replied to Meek's denials of the rumors.
"You never asked her, 'Will you be my girlfriend?' But she is your girlfriend. You may not have asked her, 'Will you marry me?' But you're engaged... I've said my part, as long as you know what's going on," T.I. said.
Nicki Minaj's yellow diamond ring costs at least $500,000, according to Shari Fabrikant of Robert Fabrikant Inc. in New York City.
"Nicki's ring is outrageous! It is approximately an 8-10 carat Heart Shape Fancy Yellow Diamond," Fabrikant said.
Additionally, via Hollywood Life, "The ring must have set her fiancé back quite a bit. It should retail for nearly $500,000 if it is a Fancy Yellow, very slightly imperfect 10 carat diamond."
