Avatar 2: December 2017 Release Date, Spoilers, Cast

James Cameron, director of first Avatar movie, sets up to release Avatar 2, the sequel of its $2.7 billion Box Office hit movie Avatar, on December 2017.

Last January, Director Cameron announced to delay of the second installment by one year. Avatar 2 was supposed to hit theaters last December 2016. Avatar 2's delay was due to the ambitious director's desire to still polish the script.

In an interview in Wellington, New Zealand, Director Cameron explained, "There's a layer of complexity in getting the story to work as a saga across three films that you don't get when you're making a stand-alone film".

The Avatar director assured fans that despite the multiple sequels, moviegoers won't find gaps in the Avatar developments as his screenwriters have been writing the script for the three film installments simultaneously.

Also, Filming Avatar 2, 3 and 4 will be less challenging for makeup artists and plot designers - who would be more stressed if sequels are shot separately.

After Avatar 2 shows on December 2017, the other Avatar installments will follow on December 2018 (Avatar 3) and December 2019 (Avatar 4).

Eager fans however don't need to be sad about the delay because spoilers on 2017's Avatar 2 are already out.

Just the the first Avatar, the gross winning movie's sequel will be shot in New Zealand.

Original Avatar's Dr. Grace Augustine, played by Sigourney Weaver, will come back from the dead. As to how the award-winning producer will make it happen, no one knows. Fans just have to wait for Avatar to hit the big screen on the last month of 2017. Director adds, "no one really dies on science-fiction".

The first Avatar's cast will still assume the same roles in Avatar 2. Thus, fans can expect to see Sam Worthington, as Jake Sully, and Zoe Saldana, as  Neytiti.

Meanwhile, the second sequel is under high pressure. Avatar 2 is currently receiving extreme expectations of topping the original Avatar once released on December 2017.
