T20 Final Live Broadcast Seen by Big Crowds over ESPN, Live Streaming, as West Indies Turn Around Game on Sri Lanka

The ICC T20 World Cup Final that took place late Sunday morning, 9:30 AM Eastern Time, saw Sri Lanka facing West Indies in a nail-biter game that saw an impressive turnaround by West Indies, as they recovered from a bad start, ending the bout as ICC champions.

The win did not come easy however, as Sri Lanka was just as bent on winning the tournament, and played some of their best cricket of the whole tournament during the final.

After having started well, Sri Lanka's downfall started as they lost four wickets for nine runs, and despite still showing they had some fight in them, the West Indies broke through and turned the game around when Malinga was caught at long on off Narinem, who finished with 3-9 scores.

Sri Lanka likely found it extremely frustrating to lose this game, as the country now counts four world cup defeats, losing the 2009 T20 World Cup to Pakistan, and the 2007 and 2011 World Cups to Australia and India respectively.

West Indies on the other hand must be in shock and wonder at having actually reached the finals, and come out on top to boot. The last time West Indies played any form of major finals in modern time, was the 2004 Champions Trophy where they beat England.

The West Indies is not one single state, but is a confederation of 15 mainly English-speaking Caribbean countries. Including Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, among others.

More information about the game can be found at the Official ICC World Twenty 20 website.
