Actress Kristen Bell surprised a cancer-stricken fan by sending her a voicemail as the "Frozen" character, Princess Anna. The young fan, Avery Huffman, is a 6-year-old girl recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, reported CNN.
Since Bell learned that Huffman was a huge fan of Disney's "Frozen" and that her favorite character is Princess Anna, the "Veronica Mars" star took it upon herself to send Huffman a message and make her day.
ABC News has confirmed that it was indeed Bell at the other end of the line as Huffman listened to the voicemail.
In the voicemail, Kristen Bell said:
"This is Princess Anna of Arendelle. I just wanted to call and say, 'hello.' My sister Elsa says she's heard that you've been such a good girl, and that you've been so brave. She's decided to crown you as an honorary princess!"
At the receiving end of the line, the little girl beams as the fictional princess even mentions her pet rabbits, Hoppy and Jumpy.
Avery, who is from Washington, was diagnosed with the disease in June. On their caringbridge.org page, it appears that Avery's family has been struggling to pay for her medical bills as she "fights the battle of her life."
Fortunately, in less than one month, their GoFundMe page has raised nearly $180,000 coming from more than 1,600 donors. The little girl has just finished with her third week of radiation, according to The New York Daily News.
"It is so incredible to see her strength daily, to see her bravery," wrote Avery's father, Brandon Huffman.
"She has no choice but to persevere. Her life is literally on the line, but she presses onward, is strong and courageous, she's not terrified or discouraged. She just continues to press on," he added.
The video of Kristen Bell surprising the cancer-stricken girl was posted by Avery's dad Friday, and it has since gone viral having garnered over more than 1 million views.
"I'll admit, I've watched the video of her hearing from Anna/Kristen Bell, around 50 times, just to watch her face light up, and to hear her giggle and see her smile," said the happy father.
