'The Walking Dead' Pictures Feature Heath, Denise Cloyd And A New Alexandria Resident! Who Is Ethan Embry Playing In Season 6? [PHOTOS+SPOILERS]

The sixth season of 'The Walking Dead' will soon air on AMC, but fans are already getting excited over the new pictures featuring Alexandria's residents.

Entertainment Weekly has just unleashed three new images from 'The Walking Dead' Season Six, and they feature a first glimpse at 'Nurse Jackie' star Merritt Wever, Corey Hawkins as Heath and Ethan Embry as a new Alexandrian created for the show.

[SPOILERS AHEAD]

Merritt Wever will play Dr. Denise Cloyd, a surgeon who is a resident of Alexandria. The character appears in the comic book, and her introduction may lead to the show's storyline tackling the Carl Grimes injury featured in the comics.

Wever is an Emmy Award winner for her performance in 'Nurse Jackie.' Her character's appearance in 'The Walking Dead' Season Six also implies that the show might pursue Heath's romance with Denise Cloyd.

Heath was the first new character announced to appear in the sixth season of 'The Walking Dead.' Fans had first took notice of Corey Hawkins being filmed with Michonne (Danai Gurira), and the showrunners ended up admitting that the 'Straight Outta Compton' star will play Heath from the comic books.

Ethan Embry is the only new major character who is not from the comics, but Scott M. Gimple is quick to point out that his character still represents several other comic book characters.

"Ethan plays a combo of a few characters that we actually haven't hit yet or weren't able to hit in other characters," Gimple told EW. "He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy."

Ethan Embry will play Carter, who was introduced in 'The Walking Dead' Comic-Con trailer. Carter looks like he will be teaming up with Morgan (Lennie James) in trying to turn Alexandrians against Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).

'The Walking Dead' Season Six returns to AMC on October 11.
