McDonald’s Breakfast: All-Day Breakfast Rumors Continue, McDonald’s Tries ‘Gourmet Breakfast’ In Australia

Financially, it's been a very tough couple of years for the biggest and most iconic fast food chain in the world, plummeting in store sales in different markets and dropping in the face of its major competitors such as Burger King - but rumor has it the company could be making a radical change in their menu soon regarding the McDonald's breakfast.

For the past few weeks, there have been rumors that, in the middle of the crisis, the chain is planning to serve all-day McDonald's breakfasts in the United States soon, and this seems like a stronger possibility now that the chain's testing a "gourmet breakfast" in Australia, one of its most important test markets.

According to The Christian Science Monitor, Australian restaurants of the chain are already testing the all-day McDonald's breakfast, but now they're taking things further with gourmet options, including tomato relish, wilted spinach and scrambled eggs.

Mashable reports that these McDonald's breakfast options are being offered at the Brisbane suburb in the land Down Under, and other items also include avocado smash with crumbled feta, chipolata sausages, hash browns, Belgian waffles with yogurt and berries as well as café breakfast with sourdough toast.

In all, the Australian McDonald's breakfast sounds absolutely delicious!

There are different stores all over Australia trying out all-day breakfast, though the new options are only available in a few places.

According to The Daily Meal, this brings hope for the same thing to happen in the United States, as it wouldn't be the first time the fast food chain tries new ways to do things in Australia and then expand them to the U.S., other ideas that first came from Australia were the McCafé and the Create Your Tates platform, so let's keep those fingers crossed for this to go beyond!

It's still unknown whether this new McDonald's breakfast menu will expand further in Australia or even the U.S. or United Kingdom, but hope's not lost!
