An App to Help Forget a Heartbreak

Meet the new app, aptly named Shryne.  Like the shrine where you honor well, the dead. This app entombs past relationships.  Your ex's. It functions like a scrapbook of what was once a relationship.  According to reports in The Inquirer, you can archive all conversations, texts, emails and messages from your ex, and make sure you don't accidentally open it while browsing through other messages. You can even use that history of messages and see what went wrong and when. As you add more ex's, just click on 'add relationship', and you find yourself making your electronic black book.  Your relationship library.

This is not the first time there is an app for past relationships. It seems ex's these days are as common as clothes that go out of fashion.  Two years ago, a program specifically for Facebook was introduced.  It was aptly named 'KillSwitch'. As the name suggests, it takes just one touch of a button to erase your ex.   You don't have to torment yourself going through and deleting photos where the two of you were smiling happily into the camera. And this same program will help ensure you don't see future photos of your ex with the new partner. Depending on how long you were in the relationship and how badly it ended, KillSwitch offers options whether you want a clean sweep or only within a specific time frame. Or if you are still hoping for a reconciliation, it will verify if you want to delete permanently or save the files in a hidden folder.

"In a way losing a relationship can feel sort of like [kicking] an addiction," says Dr. Suzanne Lachman, a clinical psychologist and blogger for Psychology Today.

When you are too addicted and prone to calling your ex when you are drunk or depressed, the app for you is Ex Lover Blocker.  Whenever you try contact your ex, it will alert all your friends who will properly admonish and shame you on social media.

Do you still have that huge teddy bear your ex gave you?  Do you cry every time you see it?  Or perhaps you gnash your teeth?  There is a very special marketplace, a website, for the out-of-love individuals where you can sell your ex's gifts to you. And because it carries a lot of emotions, it is usually given off at very low prices.  Another man's trash is another man's precious gift to a new beloved.  The name of the website is Never Liked It Anyway.
