Just a few weeks ago, Ben Affleck and Jennifer garner announced that they're filing for divorce. Earlier this week, Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani also revealed that a divorce is in the works.
Now, Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog! "The Muppets" star Miss Piggy announced on her social media accounts on Tuesday that she and Kermit the Frog are going their separate ways.
In a Facebook post, Miss Piggy wrote:
"After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship. We will continue to work together on television ("The Muppets"/Tuesdays 8PM, this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter... unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding."

Kermit the Frog also posted the same message (with a minor adjustment) on his Facebook page.
However, it seems as though Kermit the Frog was able to beat Miss Piggy to the punch, before the joint statement, of course. At the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Kermit the Frog actually already told the media of their breakup.

He said: "It's a day-by-day, moment-by-moment process. Piggy and I have gone our separate ways romantically. It can be tough to work with your ex. There will be an official statement released in the press. I don't want to betray anything."
