Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has been putting on a brave face since Zayn Malik reportedly broke off their two-year engagement via text message. But the singer is said to be devastated by her ex’s behavior since the split, and one person who’s definitely in her corner is Rixton's frontman Jake Roche.
Jake Roche, who recently got engaged to Little Mix‘s Jesy Nelson, knows the inside scoop on the downfall of Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik’s relationship. The 22-year-old not only spoke about the horrible way Zayn ended his engagement to Perrie over text, but also revealed what he really thinks of Zayn.
“I think he’s a f***ing idiot,” Jake told The Sun. “The way he’s treated her is horrible. He’s not a very nice man. Professionally he’s talented but — and I’m speaking from what I’ve seen — he should be ashamed.”
The singer, who is the son of EastEnders star Shane Richie and Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan, thinks Zayn’s behaved disrespectfully and joked that he should have at least sent an email calling things off.
He was also unimpressed when the former One Direction star retweeted a post asking users to retweet if they liked Fifth Harmony’s single 'Worth It' or favourite the message if they preferred Little Mix’s song 'Black Magic.'
If things go Jake’s way though, Perrie could be off the market again in no time! He revealed that he’s trying to set her up with Rixton guitarist Charley Bagnall. “She’s great and smiling again. Maybe Charley needs to widen that smile,” Jake said. “We’re trying to set them up now.”
Perrie Edwards hasn’t spoken publicly about her split from Zayn Malik, but the 22-year-old recently broke down on stage while performing a break up song with her bandmates.
Meanwhile Zayn has been linked to several women, including Kendall Jenner and CBB star Chloe Goodman, in recent weeks.
