Victoria Beckham is known as famous fashion designer and former pop star around the world but now she is taking her new career as UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Last Friday as an ambassador she visited the communities of Ethiopia by spending her own money for the sake of charity. She pursues AIDS prevention care and education by providing a jewelry-making class to men and women.
The fashion designer looked very casual in her simple attire - a very rare look for the well-dressed mother-of-four-wearing black T-shirt printed with words 'UNAIDS' and matched with pair of fitted trousers and pair of hassle-free slip-on trainers.
She shared images of her trip with the caption in the first image wherein she stood beside a table of grown-up students, 'Great day... Thank you for this incredible opportunity.'
'Faire trade jewellery. Teaching women a trade', she wrote in the second picture. She captioned in the third image simply with, 'Restoring, creating, empowering. Women supporting women.'
The post of the former pop star was 'liked' and re-tweeted not just once, twice but a hundred times which showed how people around the globe are pleased with her charitable works.
She proved that her visit was not just fashion-related. She shared pictures of herself with H.E. Dr. Kesetebirhan Admasu, the Minister of Health for Ethipia. As they talked to each other photographers and assistants of the minister surrounded them.
The ex-Spice Girl was chosen and appointed to be the globe ambassador for UN's HIV/AIDS initiative just a year ago.
'This is the beginning of an important journey for me. As a woman and a mother I have a responsibility to support other women. I am proud and honoured to be working with UNAIDS in this new role to help to raise resources and awareness to support and empower women and children affected by HIV,' Victoria said.
