Carrie Underwood Weight Loss: Singer Reveals How She Lost 30 Lbs. Of Baby Weight [PHOTOS]

Country star mom Carrie Underwood flaunted her new post-baby body in the November issue of Shape Magazine.

The 32-year-old singer-turned-clothing designer also shared how she has managed to bounce back so quickly from giving birth to her son Isiah in March.

She admits: “I will take any type of workout I can get, whenever I can get it,” and that includes high intensity interval sessions while baby Isaiah sleeps."

Carrie told People magazine that 10 years ago, when she was on the FOX show, American idol, she was at her heaviest. She has since slimmed down and also looks fit after giving birth to her and husband Mike Fisher's first child, son Isaiah Michael Fisher, seven months ago.

She hired a personal trainer to help shed the baby weight. She told the magazine that in the past, she turned to weight loss supplements.

"I was taking things with Ephedra in it," she said in comments published on Wednesday. "It wasn't the best way. If I could go back and talk to myself I'd be like, 'Here's how you do it the right way.'"

The singer says 30 is a crucial number - both in minutes and pounds.

"After I had Isaiah, my goal was to take control of my body again. I was lucky: I gained only 30 pounds, which is the recommended amount, and I exercised throughout my pregnancy," she added.

At first, Underwood admits she was not able to do a full half-hour workout post pregnancy, and had to confine her fitness activities to small tasks. "I did have a C-section, which meant waiting six weeks before working out. Within 10 days, though, I was able to begin walking slowly on the treadmill and around my neighborhood. It felt so good to be active!"

Underwood is featured on the cover of SHAPE magazine's November 2015 issue and talked to the outlet about her dietary habits.

"I'm vegan and I love bread, but recently, I started making dinner a breadless meal," she said. "I'll have a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, and I'll make a sandwich on Ezekiel bread for lunch, but in the evening I'll have protein and vegetables and no bread. When I wake up, my belly is flat!"

Carrie said her favorite workout is the high-intensity Tabata regimen, which features 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. The cycles are repeated continuously for 4 minutes,

"I’m in love with it! It’s hard, but it really works. I choose seven different exercises, like squats, lunges, or push- ups, and do eight rounds of each,' she says. 'It really revs up my metabolism. When I’m done, I can handle anything."
