Recently, there are researchers that have proved that hot chili peppers actually protect the stomach lining. It may also protect the stomach from damages correlating with anti-inflammatory painkillers.

Chili peppers are rich in Vitamins A and C and has nutrients such as calcium. Chili peppers also prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease and summer fatigue. It has also been proven that chili peppers prevent insulin requirements which lessen the risk of being exposed to diabetes.

It can also boost one's metabolism by its way of changing the temperature or increasing the heat of one's body. One can also easily lose weight by consuming chili peppers regularly and has the ability to make a person feel full longer.

There are studies in United Kingdom that show that a peppery component called Capsaicin is present in chili peppers that can cure stomachache, heavy stomach and nausea. Capsaicin can reduce the risk of pancreatic and lung cancer by killing the cancer cells that grow in one's body without harming or affecting the surrounding cells. This maybe the reason why people in India and Mexico who tend to consume a lot of spicy food has lesser risks of being exposed in the said disease compared to those who eat less spicy foods.

A study in Singapore discovered that eating chili peppers lessens the risk of peptic ulcers by almost 55%.

Dr. Khursheed, a gastroenterologist from Toronto stated that even though the hot sensation of eating chili peppers doesn't feel healthy, it doesn't mean that it can cause ulcer and damage one's insides if it is consumed daily.
