A representative from Tesco said, "To help locals enjoy the festive season and relieve some of the stresses often associated with the yuletide season - specifically tangled tree lights - Tesco has launched a search for someone who can conquer one of the most frustrating jobs of Christmas.

"The position will require a friendly, helpful demeanour, oodles of patience and of course, the innate knack to be able to untangle even the most scrambled of wires."

The spokeswoman also added, "The successful applicant will work full time in the lead up to Christmas, showing that "Every Little Helps", lending their nimble fingers to customers while they shop.

"A typical day could involve untangling up to 60 sets of lights!"

The responsibilities of a christmas untangler include, manning the Christmas Lights Untangling stand, checking lights/bulbs for signs of breakage, handling Christmas lights carefully "to keep everything in tip-top condition" and lastly, demonstrate a passion and knowledge for the service you're providing.

The owner also added that the candidate should have passion for the Christmas season.

This service will be free of charge and would depend on a first come first served basis.
