Taco Bell Ads Star Real Life Ronald McDonalds to Promote Breakfast

It turns out that McDonald's isn't the only one who likes using Ronald McDonald in their advertisements. Taco Bell has gathered up real people who share a name with the famous clown in order to promote their new breakfast menu.

Ronald McDonald is the name of the brightly-colored clown who acts as the mascot for McDonald's. Yet it turns out that many others share his name; Taco Bell featured these Ronalds on their new ads.

The clever new ads show Ronald McDonalds from across the country enjoying and endorsing the new menu from Taco Bell, according to The Houston Chronicle. They drop lines like "I'm Ronald McDonald, and I love Taco Bell's new breakfast."

The fast food chain is hoping to boost breakfast sales by offering a new menu and opening its 6,000 stores several hours earlier, according to the Associated Press. Taco Bell will feature new offerings such as the Crunchwrap, the Waffle Taco and Cinnabon Delights. This is all to compete with other fast food chains who are also offering breakfast, such as McDonald's and even Starbucks, which has decided to keep open later by offering wine and beer in some locations.

Taco Bell's new ads will begin airing on Thursday, and will clearly state that the men featured in the ads aren't affiliated with McDonald's and are instead being paid by Taco Bell, according to the Houston Chronicle.
