John Malkovich’s 2015 Film With Robert Rodriguez Ages Like Fine Louis XIII Cognac, But Its Release Date Won’t Be Until 2115 [VIDEOS]

In the past, John Malkovich has been involved in some seriously weird projects, including that 1999 film that was mostly set in his brain, where people could go visit it through a portal - and while the recent John Malkovich 2015 film might not be the oddest thing he's done, it might just make the top 5.

The 61 year-old actor, who has been nominated to the Academy Award twice in the past, has joined forces with superstar director Robert Rodriguez for a new ad for Louis XIII Cognac, and they made a movie that won't be released any time soon - in fact, it'll be your grandchildren living in colonized Mars watching it.

According to a press release from the cognac-making company, this Rodriguez film starring John Malkovich in 2015 is called "100 Years," and it envisions what Earth will be like a hundred years from now through different possible outcomes - but the project won't be released until 2115.

As the company explains, this John Malkovich 2015 project is "inspired by the century of careful craftsmanship and patience it takes to create each decanter of LOUIS XIII Cognac," and they're making sure nobody sees it for the next 100 years ahead of its November 18, 2115 premiere: it's in a fancy safe that won't open until that very date.

"There were several options when the project was first presented of what [the future] would be," the actor said of this John Malkovich 2015 film, io9 reports. "An incredibly high tech, beyond computerized version of the world, a post-Chernoybl, back to nature, semi-collapsed civilization and then there was a retro future which was how the future was imagined in science fiction of the 1940s or 50s."

As Screen Crush reports, there are three teaser trailers for the film, each of them featuring a possible outcome as to how the film (and the future) could be like.
