Celine Dion Paris: Heart Will Go On For Diva’s Beautiful AMAs Homage To Victims, Edith Piaf’s ‘Hymne À L’Amour’ – With Jared Leto [PHOTOS+VIDEO]

Just over a week after the French capital city was attacked by ISIS on six different locations, prompting the deaths of more than 100 people, tributes haven't stopped pouring in, and the American Music Awards last weekend saw some of the biggest stars in the industry singing to the City of Lights - including the heartbreaking Celine Dion Paris homage.

Edith Piaf and Paris have been synonyms for decades, as France's chanteuse sang to the city on numerous occasions and her music has been featured in montages honoring the City of Love countless times - so it seemed only appropriate that another French-language diva would honor Piaf during these hard times for the French people, as shown on the very powerful Celine Dion Paris homage.

According to The Daily Mail, the song chosen for Celine Dion's Paris homage was Piaf's "Hymne à L'Amour," as the iconic singer performed a powerful rendition of the French language classic in front of a screen featuring a montage of images of the city.

As Yahoo! News reports, the French-Canadian songstress wasn't the only one that night honoring the victims of the November 13 attacks, as it was Jared Leto, Oscar-winning actor and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, who introduced Celine Dion's Paris homage with some powerful words, speaking about how his band planned on playing at the Bataclan.

"Tonight we honor the victims of the unimaginable violence that has taken place in Paris and around the world," said the "Suicide Squad" actor, introducing Celine Dion's Paris tribute, The Telegraph reports. "The entire world matters, and peace is possible."

Many of the night's winners during the AMAs spoke about the recent terrorist attacks, mentioning not only the events in Paris but those that have transpired around the world and calling for peace - and during Dion's performance of the Piaf classic, many stars in the audience were visibly fighting back tears, as the crowd watched the beautiful rendition in silence.
