Antonio Banderas’ Divorce With Melanie: Melanie Seeks Custody and Spousal Support

Antonio Banderas' divorce to Melanie Griffith has been the talk of the town recently. The couple filed for divorce on June 2014. According to the couple, they have decided to finalize and end their marriage with respect and without hate or dispute. The couple also recounted the beautiful relationship that they have shared together and along with their friends. The couple cited "irreconcilable differences" as a reason for ending their 18-years of marriage.

The 56-year old Melanie Griffith was seen last July publicly visiting a tattoo shop in Beverly Hills for the removal of her favorite Antonio Banderas' tattoo on her right arm while Antonio was seen with his arms around a mystery woman during the Cannes' Film Festival. Speculation then spreads that the two has been planning to split up. The couple tied the knot on April 14, 1996 and had one child together, Stella who is now turning 18. After Antonio Banderas' divorce from wife Melanie, Melanie filed for sole physical and joint legal custody of their only daughter, Stella and surprisingly their dog including financial support. This has been the fourth divorce for Melanie Griffith who married Don Johnson twice and Steven Bauer.

Many critics say that Antonio Banderas' divorce from Griffith is far from being amicable considering that Melanie is filing for a sole custody of their child with a high-powered attorney Laura Wasser and requested for spousal support. Linda Liljedahl, a well recognized experienced mediator of domestic disputes in Louisiana shared in an article, 'Melanie's declaration of her demand for the sole custody of the child is less than a declaration of war simmering underneath their alleged mutually concurred statement of divorce.'

No matter how good or bad Antonio Banderas' divorce will turn out, the couple is both hopeful that their action will make a positive turn for their individual lives.
