Costumers Data Got Hacked in Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen, the fast food company, has confirmed recently that they were victims of a data breach.

What this means is that the information of the clients from the enterprise, and basically all of the information from them as well, got hacked.

This has happened to several companies already, and very important ones, such as Ebay, Apple, AOL, Adobe, GAP, and many others. It hasn't been so prolific in the food department, though. A famous case was Domino's Pizza in France, but other than that, there are no well-known cases up to now.

When this occurs, the big impact is that credit card information is stolen and then used to commit frauds.

The U.S. Secret service, which is the entity in charge of these sorts of investigations, communicated on Tuesday 26th to Dairy Queen about the potential Data Breach that they could be suffering.

From there and up to this moment, Dairy Queen in all its locations is taking care of the matter and investigating the issue themselves to protect the information from their customers.

Brian Kerbs, who is a journalist that specializes in cybercriminals, has followed this case closely and has stated that many people suffered from credit card fraud and the last place that they were at before this happened was as a matter of fact one of the Dairy Queen stores.

Their main store is in Minneapolis, where they started, and they serve Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Fries, a wide variety of Cookie Blizzards, Ice Creams and a lot more.

They work not only in USA, but in 25 more countries as well; which means that the information jeopardized could be a lot. They are also successful because of offering not only great variety, but great quality and a good customer service.

As a matter of fact, the response to the Data Breach was immediate and the vice president of communications in the company has publicly responded for the cause and said "The protection of the data from our customers is a top priority and we take it nothing more than seriously."

Let's hope that they get to work out this problem fast and get back on track.
