KFC Customer Horrified at Finding 'Mold' on Bottom of Zinger Burger

A horrifying experience left a 31-year-old woman in a sickening experience as she discovered a mold on her KFC burger.

The young mother, Hayley Pritchard, said she 'felt sick' after seeing a bunch of black and green patches on her Zinger buns which she claimed as mold growth.

She took a photo of the said moldy bread as evidence for her unfortunate experience with the said fast food chain.

Hayley told the Daily Post: "I'm lucky that I always look at my food before I eat it.

"There was green mold on the back of the bun and black pieces which I'm sure were mold as well," she explained.

"It was revolting and made me feel sick... I won't be going back again in a hurry."

At first, the KFC branch in Caernarfon, United Kingdom did not apologized for the incident even refusing to acknowledge the complaint after her boyfriend, tried to return the meal to the fast food chain later that evening.

"My boyfriend Arwel went to the KFC restaurant in Caernarfon at around 8.30pm on Monday. When he got back home, I was hungry and just opened my food and saw mold on the bottom bit of the burger bun."

Daily Post reports that Hayley complains of the poor customer service of the branch that she become furious that they were not even given a refund for the moldy burger.

But the fast food head office looked into the matter today and has apologized for the incident and guaranteed Hayley that they will do a further investigation on the complaint.

A KFC spokesperson said, "The buns have a shelf life of 72 hours and this came from a batch opened only that morning, so although we appreciate the presentation is not up to our high standards, we are sure that this is not mould."

They also defended the Caernarfon branch saying they issued a refund for the Zinger, "The customer was offered a refund or replacement on the spot but refused both."
