Microsoft Releases New Tool 'PowerApps'

Microsoft introduces its 'PowerApps' which enables users to create their own business apps in the easiest way. The newest project of the tech company is capable of connecting to other services such as OneDrive, Dropbox, Dynamics CRM, Office 365, Salesforce, Oracle databases, Azure services, SQL Server and Azure services.

Microsoft PowerApps which is somehow similar to the Salesforce's Lightning App Builder allows users to design apps for their companies that can be used for Android, iOS and Windows. With its visual designer, specialist tools and preloaded templates, the development of apps becomes fast and easy.

Microsoft Azure application platform corporate vice president Bill Staples discussed about the new service in a blog post.

"While companies are increasingly turning to SaaS solutions for specific scenarios like CRM, travel and HR, using services like Microsoft Dynamics, Concur or Workday, most business app scenarios still remain locked on premises, dependent on corporate connected PCs," stated by the corporate vice president.

As revealed by the company on their official blog site, the Microsoft PowerApps will minimize the time business establishments use in creating suitable apps for them. The new tool will create balance between IT and business users as written by the multinational company. PowerApps serves as a solution to any business needs.

A tutorial has been provided by the company teaching new users on how to manipulate the tool and also to take advantage of the existing templates to customize their own apps. By using Microsoft PowerApps, developers can generate programs that can be shared in any platforms.

Business institutions have been aiming to acquire tools that will not require them to write complex codes. Microsoft offers a free tier for their latest product. The Redmond-based company is also planning to make the PowerApps available to nondevelopers.

Microsoft has not yet revealed the pricing for the PowerApps.
