Chomping on Bacon Could Help You Get a Six Pack?

A number of diet plans on the web claim that the secret to losing weight and getting those six pack abs is to give up on the delicious things in life. However, two people who have managed to gain ripped bodies have proven otherwise. These two have managed to get their killer six pack abs without having to give up on the meat they loved most - bacon. In fact, they claim it helped them in their goal to a six pack.

How is this even possible? Well, in the strictest sense, it wasn't all dieting but it involved a lot of hard work in "working out." For 62-year old Ian Newman, the Aussie claimed his iron-man diet along with his squats and deadlifts helped him get his six pack abs.

Newman's diet was simply an eight minute dish that contained 5 percent carbs, 70 percent fat, and 25 percent protein. This according to a report by the Observer is the same makeup as undrained bacon. So why bother kicking out bacon from your diet then? Rather than running on sugar, Newman depended on the fat from his diet to keep him energized.

While Newman didn't sweat it out at the gym to get his six pack abs, Sara Malm of Daily Mail had dedicated much of her time at the gym. The one thing that connected both Malm and Newman was that they never gave up for their love of bacon. So why should you?

If these two have already proven that bacon in the diet doesn't really ruin your chances of getting a six pack, why limit your intake as well? So pair your hard work at the gym with a healthy plate of bacon. There's no reason to deprive yourself of some good and delicious slab of pork. Take it from both Newman and Malm.
