Jamie Oliver is certainly optimistic about the future. Even though the present COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, he is sure that things will return to how they were, if not better. His newest cookbook shows just this, since it will be all about how to cook for a big crowd.

Jamie Oliver Has a New Book Meant for Post-COVID

The last time people could mostly remember being in a party or a large dining occassion where multiple guests can eat at close proximity and have fun must feel like it has been ages ago. Even though COVID-19 rates are still surging in certain states and other countries, there are some that are quite optimistic that the existence of vaccines meant this pandemic will be over and done with sooner than later.

Oliver, the celebrated chef, is certainly of these people. Or else, he would not be writing about how to cook for big crowds.

Just fresh from dropping his latest book, "7 Ways," published in August, Oliver has already announced his next cookbook. What makes it even more exciting is that Oliver has chosen a word for the title that people have not heard, used, or practiced much over the past year: "Together."

"Together" is described as all about preparing meals for a crowd of guests (according to She Knows). The book will be coming out in September, signifying how soon Oliver believes things will go back to normal.

His hopes are not that futile. By then, if things have gone right, the curve would have considerably flatttened not because people have become more careful, and hospitals have beefed up their capacity, but also because many people should have been vaccinated already by the time.

If people now have immunity against COVID-19, this means social restrictions are to be lifted, and people would not have second thoughts about hosting dinner parties, brunches, and a bunch of get togethers and gatherings where food is a key feature. Oliver believes this is the case so he wrote the book to make sure when the time comes, people would have access to a book that can tell them what and how to cook for a large number of guests.

"By September, fingers crossed, we're going to be able to have our family back around our house - our friends," Oliver said in a video on Instagram. His new book, he added, is "all about arming you to get ahead of the game, to take the stress out."

The chef author also shared that the contents of his cookbook will cover as many bases as possible.

It will contain recipes of main dishes to canapés and cocktails. There will even be tips on table settings.

The book is yet to drop but the chef already announced that it is tied to a new television series and two new Christmas specials. To say Jamie Oliver is having a swell year so far is an understatement.
