Trailer: The Book of Life, An Adventure Halloween Treat

The Book of Life, a fantasy and adventured-filled animated movie is set to delight each family this Halloween season.

Twentieth Century Fox and Reel FX Animation Studios brings a Halloween treat for the whole family in this animated film with the story based on a Mexican folklore, Day of the Dead through its exciting plot and vibrant characters.

La Muerte and Xibalba (with voices of Kate del Castillo and Ron Perlman) are two gods who are watching the lives of a seemingly love triangle between three children - Manolo, Maria and Joaquin from the town of San Angel.

As the children were growing up, the two gods would disguise as peasants to mingle with them and bet to whom Maria will marry in the future. Maria becomes a witty and feisty princess while Joaquin rises as a soldier to avenge his father and Manolo trying to be one among the mighty bullfighters of his family. Manolo, as a young man comes up front with dealing between fulfilling his family's dream or choosing his heart's desire. With the two spirits playing on the fate of the three, Manolo will then embark on an epic journey and face his fears dealing with three worlds including the living and the underworld.

Written and directed by Jorge R. Rodriguez, The Book of Life offers its audience with festive music, funny dialogues and Mexican-spiced movie experience. The movie gets even better as the characters are given life with the voices of some of the most celebrated and talented Hollywood stars of our time - Diego Luna as Manolo, Zoe Saldana as Maria and Channing Tatum as Joaquin.

The Book of Life also includes the voices of Ice Cube and Christina Applegate. The movie can also be enjoyed in Digital 3D.
