Ice Cream Truck Driver Attacked After Allegedly Running Over And Killing A Child

Ice Cream Truck Driver - During the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 22 a boy got run over by an ice cream truck that was travelling through South Los Angeles.

The boy's name was Jamarion Thomas, he was only 7 years old and was riding a motorized bike, when he suddenly slipped and got caught under a rear wheel from the ice cream truck as he was driving next to it, ABC News noted.

After the accident, it seems like the neighbors who were around threw bricks and smashed the windshield of the ice cream truck driver and afterwards, the driver sustained bruises and injuries.

"I walked outside. He was lying on the ground bleeding, so I just tried to comfort the family 'cause they was screaming," Linda Black, a witness said and CBS noted.

The boy was transported to the hospital after the accident suffered involving the ice cream truck driver and he was severely injured. During the night, he passed away.

Then, the family and neighbors performed a memorial where the motorized bike of the accident that Jamarion loved riding, a teddy bear and some candles were included to remember the little boy with love and affection.

From what other neighbors have described, Jamarion was truly a lovely boy who played with other kids from the neighborhood and they are all deeply sorry for the loss.

As for the ice cream truck driver, once the accident took place, he was taken to the police station and held in custody for his own protection.

The ice cream truck driver has also been cooperating with the police ever since this happened and it looks, at least up to the moment, that no charges will be held as it has been seen as an "unfortunate accident" that happened and took the life of a child, unluckily.
