Daniel Radcliffe ‘Horns’ [+VIDEO] From Harry Potter To Brutal Rape And Murder

Danielle Radcliffe Horns - On Oct. 29 the cinemas will be opening with a new film that has Danielle Radcliffe, the ex-Harry Potter, as the main character. The movie is a tragedy and comedy at the same time.

"Horns" is coming for Halloween especially as its theme is perfect for the occasion. It's about Ig Perrish, a DJ living in a small town that is blamed for the brutal rape and murder that his passed away girlfriend, Merrin Williams, has gone through.

Apparently, one minute he is having a romantic time with his loved one and promising eternal love to Juno Temple, who plays Merrin, and the next minute, he wakes up to find himself alone and has also grown some horns.

The horns are referenced to the devil, as Daniel Radcliffe himself has been stating and other reviews on the movie as well. It seems that due to these mysterious horns, Daniel Radcliffe's character Ig, gets to make people confess their deepest secrets and do their deepest desires as well.

Then, he uses the horns in his favor and looks for the actual murderer of his girlfriend, while being not only wearing horns but surrounded by snakes in various scenes of the movie. Daniel Radcliffe was very excited about that fact.

He was asked at the Comic-Con San Diego while promoting "Horns" if he was afraid of snakes and Daniel Radcliffe joked about having them around for the last third of the movie and actually playing to be Princess Leia.

Still, as overwhelmed as Daniel Radcliffe has shown to be throughout all the process of filming "Horns" and even then promoting and saying praises for it, the audience has already spoken and the thrill is simply not there.

"Radcliffe throws himself into the role with such committed, baggy-eyed brooding you'd think he was playing one of the great tragic love stories. But his efforts are thwarted by Aja's wet-blanket filmmaking," was part of the review by the L magazine.

Aja, "Horns" director has also directed "Piranha 3D" (2010) and "The Hills Have Eyes" (2006), so the feedback he tends to have is one of either complete love or complete hate by the fans.

"Horns" is also based on the novel written by Joe Hill, the son of Horror master Stephen King. So, although it has great expectations and the infinite love of Daniel Radcliffe, apparently the movie doesn't stand tall between all the rest.
