The new Taco Bell mobile strategy not only meant releasing a new app for patrons of the famous Tex-Mex fast food chain, but it also meant that the company famous for its talking Chihuahua got away from social media.

A rage with news outlets, the new Taco Bell mobile initiative might just keep all competitors on their toes, waiting for the next move of the fast food restaurant with the burritos and quesadillas.

As said by Adweek, the new Taco Bell's mobile strategy shocked many at first but also seems to have settled well since it first came out earlier this week. Besides releasing the new app, Taco Bell's mobile strategy included something much riskier: creating a blackout in all the company's social media accounts for the brand to promote the app even further.

Shockingly enough, creating a strategy that takes users away from the instant benefits of a company in social media seems to have worked all right. The company stood silently in social media for days and only just returned for Halloween (with a fun message of "I'm back, witches"), saying the only way into the company at that point was #onlyintheapp, as Madame Noire reported.

Another report by USA Today speaks about how Taco Bell's mobile strategy is only the latest venture in new technology on the part of the restaurant businesses. It appears that this sort of technology is specially made for the 20-something millennials, who are far more interested in their smartphones and tablets than in waiting in line to get their order taken.

As it is, the new Taco Bell app is the first of its kind in the fast food franchise arena, since it features the ability to order, make payments and even let the restaurant know when they should serve for the costumer to be able to pick up his meal when it's still hot.
