Coco Matcha Cups: A Sweet Treat That Can Be Enjoyed Guilt-Free

Healthy food choices along with exercise can make our body fit and healthy. When people talk about healthy food, they would always assume organic vegetables and fruits. Junk and high cholesterol foods are not included. Sweet treats like ice cream or cookies are definitely not on the list.

However, do you know that not all sweet treats are bad for the health? According to Stuff, a lot of people got the idea wrong. There are still treats that offer a little goodness in them.

Let's take the case of Matcha Tea. Aside from making them only sugar free, Matcha green tea is also loaded with L-theanine which is known to improve brain function and relieves stress. It contains one times more antioxidants than regular green tea. Another one would be turmeric. It is one of nature's most powerful anti-inflammatory and is also a great help for the immune system.

Cacao or the love drug helps the brain release serotonin and endorphins, plus it also comes with the aphrodisiac qualities. These are just some of the ingredients that can be used to make treats that can make us less guilty when we begin to eat them because these treats have a little goodness in them. Coco matcha cups


100g creamed coconut

40g cacao butter

Shredded coconut

1 tsp matcha green tea powder

10 drops stevia or 2 tbsp raw honey

Pinch sea salt flakes

First, get a bowl that can fit in a saucepan. Pour water in the saucepan but make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water. Bring the water to a boil and make sure to turn the heat down. Melt the cream coconut and cacao butter together. When it is melted, take off the heat, stir in the honey and whisk until they are completely mixed together. Next, pour half the mix into patty cake cases. Mix the matcha green tea powder into the rest of the mix and pour another on top of the coconut layer. Make the mixture sit in the freezer. Sprinkles and shredded coconut might be added before it completely sets. Peel from the case and enjoy guilt free.
