Tips on Making Chewy Brownies
Although baking brownies can be easy, sometimes, it can be a little tricky. The hard part of achieving chewy brownies is getting the right ingredients. Thus, here are some tips to keep in mind before baking chewy brownies.
Since brownies are made of pure chocolate, chewy brownies get more of the chocolate flavor from the cocoa powder. Unlike other brownie recipes that use melted chocolate, cocoa powder and chocolate chips are best to mix with the brownie batter, and it offers the chewy texture of the brownies.

Next is the fat used in the recipe. If you use cocoa powder for your brownies, you need something that will hold the ingredients together and prevent it from crumbling. The reason why chewy brownies exist is because of the perfect combination of saturated and unsaturated fats in the recipe. Adding the perfect amount of oil or melted butter to the brownie mixture will make it perfect.
As for the other ingredients, it is best to use granulated sugar for the brownie mix and only use two large eggs if you are going to make an 8"x8" of box brownies. Instead of cake flour, all-purpose flour is more recommended. Lastly, adding an amount of leavening agent and cornstarch will add to the brownie's consistency.
