If you are going to get an air fryer this 2021, it is better to make it a worthwhile investment. Air fryers have become a dime a dozen now, and they come in a range of colors, functions, and even prices. Do not just go for aesthetics nor the price point. Go for something that will do what it envisions it will do, and for that model that will last. The last thing you would want is for your air fryer to stop working in the middle for frying chicken or some meat. Choose wisely and well, or at least trust the experts. Below are five models/brands that have passed the stringent standards of experts.

Ninja Air Fryer AF100UK - Simple and Easy

Air fryers should be, at least, easy and simple to use. Otherwise, what is the point? If you are going to shift towards a new appliance and leave your usual cooking method, the least it can be is uncomplicated. The Ninja Air Fryer AF 100UK offers ease and simplicity and just gets the job done.

It has a 3.8l capacity and four pre-set functions, which is already enough for most. It has a digital display, so it looks really clean and nifty. The only downside is that it has no viewing window, but that does not hinder its performance. Those who have used it first-hand and compared it to other models say it can do the frying job so much quicker. At 3.8l, the fryer can contain up to 900g of fries (think enough for up to 6 people!) or maybe around 5 to 6 pieces of chicken wings and drumsticks.

Apart from frying, it can roast, reheat, and even dehydrate. The most impressive about it is that it has a wider temperature variation than most - 40C to 210C - and you can cook manually. It's worth noting that it's dishwasher friendly, too.

Lakeland Digital Compact Air Fryer

This small beast can bake, apart from fry with no oil. It has a 1.6l capacity only, so it can cook half of what the Ninja Fryer can cook, but it has a total of 5 pre-set functions. You just have to choose whether you want more functions (such as bake), or you want more room. It has a digital display but still no viewing window.

Apart from the unbelievable joy that you can feel when you bake here, the major selling point of this Lakeland Air Fryer is that it has earned a Quiet Mark certification. It's quiet and small - perfect to bring and use anywhere!

Instant Vortex Four-in-One Air fryer

If you want generous space so you can fry for more people, then this third machine is for you. It has a total of 5.7l capacity! But even though it has the largest capacity of the three, it has a very sleek design and not bulky-looking. This one has a viewing window, which the first two do not. It can do all that the Ninja Airfryer can do and even baking, just like Lakeland Digital Compact Airfryer. Even if it's big, it's very easy to clean, which is a plus point.

Air fryers have become a fixture in most people's kitchens. The idea that it can fry anything and everything without actually using oils that are not that good for the body clearly amazes many. But if you are yet to join the bandwagon, it is now better to discerning the actual model you would buy. Not all air fryers are built the same, after all.
