Krispy Kreme is giving its patrons (or would-be patrons) a free glazed donut each day until the end of the year. All they have to show is proof that they have already been vaccinated.

How To Get Free Original Glazed Doughnut Daily Until December 31

According to ABC 6, as of Tuesday, any Krispy Kreme customer who would show their COVID-19 vaccination card at any branch can receive a free doughnut. Nobody can resist an original glazed doughnut, so this is a cool way of encouraging people to get vaccinated.

Vaccinated guests can redeem a free Original Glazed doughnut once per day for the remainder of the year. Since April is just around the corner, that means they still have 8 months free of doughnut everyday - if they get vaccinated now and end of March 31. If you do the math, that's more or less 240 doughnuts free!

The doughnut shop will also be delivering free doughnuts to certain vaccination sites around the country in the coming weeks to further encourage people to get vaccinated in its own little way.

Krispy Kreme Workers Encouraged to Be Vaccinated

Krispy Kreme won't be encouraging people to get vaccinated without doing the same to its own people.

Krispy Kreme's workers can receive up to four hours of paid time off just so they can be protected against the COVID-19 virus with a vaccine.

"We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them," explained Dave Skena, the doughnut chain's Chief Marketing Officer.

Dunkin' Donuts Giving Away Something Free Too!

One of the biggest Krispy Kreme's biggest competitors, Dunkin' is also offering something free to its patrons. It's not linked in any way to having a vaccine, though, but just to keep people pushing through amidst this pandemic that refuses to go away.

The chain's free doughnuts are pinned to a beverage purchase every "Hump Day," or the day people can generally feel a hump on their productivity and motivation momentum - or Wednesday, for short.

The brand has launched Free Donut Wednesdays for its DD Perks members, which would start on March 24 and running every Wednesday until April 21, based on its press release.

According to the company, it is aware that most people are already running low in the middle of the week and are craving something fun, exciting, and motivating.

"With Free Donut Wednesdays, we're excited to give our DD Perks members a free sweet treat to help beat the midweek slump and keep them running with a smile," Joanna Bonder, Dunkin' director, loyalty marketing and strategy, shared.

On the same day as the launching of this promo, Dunkin' is dropping its newest Blueberry Pomegranate flavored Dunkin' Refresher that can be considered quite healthy. It's essentially iced green tea, flavored fruit concentrate, and B vitamins. The drink can be paired with a free doughnut of their choice on Wednesdays.
