Healthy snack brand KIND just launched vegan ice cream pints. Now available at CVS and other select retailers, it will soon be widely available by summer. KIND is best known for their almond-based nutrition bars but added a frozen line last year. Veg News reported that the vegan ice cream bars had a base of almond milk and nut butter. KIND Frozen started with two plant-based ice cream bars, Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter.

This year, KIND is expanding its frozen line with vegan ice cream pints in seven delicious flavors. These flavors include Caramel Almond Sea Salt, Cherry Cashew, Coffee Hazelnut, Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, Pistachio, and Strawberry. Each frozen dessert pint is 473ml.

KIND has also made a move towards the breakfast category with their vegan smoothie bowls. These smoothie bowls are made with layers of almond (the brand's number one ingredient) and fruit smoothies, almond butter, and granola. These vegan options are available at major retailers, including Walmart, Target, and Amazon.

More Vegan Ice Cream Brands

Before nut-based milks were introduced to the market, ice cream was a treat many vegans missed. Ice cream is just one of those treats that makes anyone's day just a little bit better. The New York Post even reported that earlier this week, Fenton's Creamery in Oakland, California received a generous tip of $1000 from a customer who was ecstatic that they were still open. However, not all ice creams are made equal. PETA and Shape recommend the following vegan ice cream brands.

Talenti

Talenti has both dairy-free and vegan sorbettos. As seen on its website, they have four vegan flavors - Alphonso Mango, Peanut Butter Fudge, Roman Raspberry, and Strawberry Hibiscus. All flavors are also gluten-free, non-GMO verified, and kosher.

Oatly

If you're already familiar with Oatly drinks, their vegan ice creams are made with the same oat base. Oatly has six flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl, and Salted Caramel.

Coconut Bliss

If you enjoy the earthier flavor of coconut milk, try Coconut Bliss. They have plant-based and dairy-free ice cream bars, sandwiches, pints, and soft serves. Their new look is also so eye-catching and fun that you'd want to try all flavors. So far, they have eleven unique flavors: Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate, Legendary Cookie Dough, Mint Chip Galactica, Madagascan Vanilla Bean, Sweet Cherry Amaretto, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Golden Banana Brownie Swirl, Chocolate Walnut Brownie, Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Hazelnut Decadence, and Infinite Coconut.

Double Rainbow

Double Rainbow's vegan ice creams are made with soy milk and have two flavors: Vanilla Bean and Mint Chocolate Chip. They also have vegan sorbets, Lively Lemon and Mango Tangerine.

Arctic Zero

Arctic Zero is the first vegan ice cream brand based on faba beans. They're certified plant-based and non-GMO verified. Arctic Zero ties with Coconut Bliss with 11 flavors: Classic Vanilla, Pistachio, Cookie Shake, Salted Caramel, Purely Chocolate, Hint of Mint, Cake Batter, Brownie Blast, Cookie Dough Chunk, Cherry Chocolate Chunk, and Chocolate Peanut Butter.
