BlackBerry Classic: A Trip Down Memory Lane

Just like the BlackBerry Bold, the Classic has the traditional design that Blackberry is well known for; a QWERTY keyboard, the track pad and a row of home keys.

Packing a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon Dual-core 1.5GHz Krait chip, this smartphone will definitely give any rival a good run for their money. To complement the phones monstrously powerful chipset is the Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU and two gigabytes of RAM. Additionally, the new Classic will run in the latest BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS

The BlackBerry Classic has a 3.5 inch display that can support resolution of up to 720x720. It's multi-touch and capacitive touchscreen has a display density of 249 ppi pixel and can project 16M colors. The 8MP camera can take high quality photos with resolution of up to 3264x2448 pixels, it has a LED flash and an autofocus option. The camera can also record HD videos of up to 1080p with 30fps frame rate. BlackBerry Classic's comes in with a 16GB internal memory and storage capacity can still be upgraded up to 128GB using a microSD memory card. The phone is already LTE capable and no more updates and patches is needed to use it. It also has the standard 3.5mm audio jack, has a loudspeaker and can use MP3 for ringtones.

The only downside the BlackBerry Classic has so far is its limited applications since it is running in its own BlackBerry OS. The BlackBerry Classic currently costs $449 and is expected to choose AT&T or Verizon as its US network carriers.
