To wrap up the show after its impeccable 6-year run - particularly during season finales, which were always the series' strong suit - the White Collar season 6 episode 6 left fans nostalgic for the upcoming series' silence but happy to see their favorite show ending the way it was supposed to.
Appropriately enough, the name of the White Collar season 6 episode 6 was "Au Revoir," as it was saying goodbye not only to audiences, but to the very core of the series: main man Neal Caffrey, as Entertainment Weekly states, got killed during the episode.
According to IB Times (and just about every other outlet), the true hook of the White Collar season 6 episode 6 finale was, of course, Neal Caffrey's death - so convincing that it not only managed to convince Peter Burke, but it also took him a whole year to find out that the con-artist was actually still up to business as usual.
After the Pink Panthers are arrested and as Keller and Neal fight for a gun, the White Collar season 6 episode 6 reaches its climax: the gun ends up being fired, as Mstarz recounts. Keller then attempts to escape, but Peter is too fast for him and shoots him in the head, all while Neal lies on the floor, dying.
"You're the only one who ever saw the good in me. You're my best friend," said Neal to Peter, right before passing away.
Of course, that was only until the very end of the episode, when Peter Burke found the key to the container he and Jones looked at after the Panther heist ... and, upon opening it, he found the basis for a great conspiracy: from diagrams of bullet wounds to a decoy mannequin, Neal and Mozzie's queen of hearts card and a whole other lot of things to finally show him what had happened; the next shot shows Caffrey himself in Paris, probably off to the greatest heist the Paris has seen - or at least, since Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole went all in during "How to Steal a Million."
Up until this last episode, White Collar starred Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Tiffani Thiessen, Willie Garson, Marsha Thomason, Sharif Atkins, Hilarie Burton and Natalie Morales as its main cast.
