Seahawks 35-6 Blowout Against Cardinals Proves They’re Super Bowl Ready

The Seattle Seahawks set a franchise record of 596 yards in offense. Passing a total 329 yards and rushing another 267. Russell Wilson completed two touchdown passes and rushed in for another. The game ended with the Cardinals complete trashed out of their game, 35-6.

The Seahawks' fifth straight victory has marked quarterback Russell Wilson's careers record for rushing yards and longest pass. He recorded 55 rushing yards and at point passed an 80 yard completion. Marshawn Lynch did not play during the first quarter citing an "upset stomach". However, he exploded in the succeeding quarters carrying the ball 10 times for a total 113 yards and two touchdowns. He opened his second quarter with a 6-yard run and added some spectacular tackle breaking runs. Luke Wilson on the other hand added 139 yards on three receiving play.

The highlight of the night has to be Russell Wilson. The quarterback completed 21 of his 31 passes for a record 339 yards including two touchdown passes of 80 and 20 yards to Luke Willson. Just as his previous performance in last month's game, Wilson crushed the competition with his rushing ability and dead eye passing skill. This much needed win have put the Seahawks on top of the NFC standings with 11 win and 4 loses. In case the Seattle Seahawks wins at home in next week's last game of the season over the St. Louis Rams, it would clinch the number one seed in the National Football Conference for the defending Super Bowl Champions.

The Cardinals' score is only due to Chandles Catanzaro's field goals. It is important to note that the Arizona Cardinal's only score in the past two games came from the rookie kickers field goals.

The score remained 14-3 until the fourth quarter. The three late touchdowns however made it a blowout.
