Tony Goldwyn ‘Scandal’: What Happens To Olivia Pope? [VIDEO]

The end of January will bring a lot of joy to television fans in the United States, as it's also time for the midseason premieres and the rest of the 2014-2015 TV season to start, and Tony Goldwyn from "Scandal" has recently spoken out about what can be expected from the second half of this season's story.

Not too long ago, co-star Scott Foley, who plays Olivia Pope's new love interest, spoke out a little about what's happening in the coming episodes of the famous Shonda Rhimes show starring Kerry Washington; now, it's Tony Goldwyn's "Scandal" time to keep up with the times!

According to ABC, Tony Goldwyn from "Scandal" was recently a guest in their show ABC News, as he was interviewed about the coming rest of the season, where he spoke candidly about working with Kerry Washington and the success the actress has gotten for her performance as Olivia Pope.

As Broadway World reports, Tony Goldwyn's "Scandal" character is no other than President Fitzgerald Grant, a lax Republican leader who's having an affair with Washington's character Olivia, while still trying to run the country in spite of a great number of conspiracies going on around him and Pope, a Washington "fixer" whose job is to prevent scandals from happening to prominent political and business figures.

Besides Washington, Goldwyn and Foley, the series stars Guillermo Díaz, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Joshua Malina and Bellamy Young.

Known mostly for his role in "Scandal," Goldwyn has been in show business for a couple of decades, even having a supporting role in the classic 90s film "Ghost" - the actor also comes from a long line of movie people, as he's the grandson of movie producer legend Samuel Goldwyn and the son of Samuel Goldwyn, Jr., who passed away recently.

For now, Tony Goldwyn's "Scandal" spoilers are being kept airtight - but no matter, the show will finally return next Thursday, January 29, after ten weeks absent from television screens!
