Ariana Grande 'One Last Time' Video Steals from Canberra Indie Band SAFIA? [WATCH]

The Canberra Indie Band received death threats after they said that Ariana Grande "One Last Time" music video was copied from their film clip. Ben Woolner, vocalist of SAFIA said that one of their fans redirected them on the link of the newly released video of the American singer.

"We watched the Ariana video and we were like, 'yeah it's kind of similar'. At least they've reworked it a bit. But that last shot is frame-by-frame exactly the same," he said. "It's pretty close to be a coincidence," he added.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, "You Are The One" of the SAFIA's clip which was released last year, Sept. 2014 started with a static then a woman was getting out of the car because she had a fight with a man, maybe a boyfriend of her. The said clip ended with man and woman embracing each other then meteors were falling.

On the other hand, Ariana Grande's "One Last Time" video, released yesterday started with similar situation. Ariana Grande went out of her car right she had a fight with a male actor inside the car. She walked into the street while meteors are falling from pink sky; same scenario from the video of SAFIA. Here's the confirmation, the Ariana Grande's "One Last Time" video clip ended with a shot of Grande embracing a man.

"Jimmy went rigorously online and searched the idea to make sure it hadn't been done before in any form. That idea in its form and the way it was presented was different to other apocalyptic theme," Woolner said. "But that's how things often work at big labels, they often source ideas from independent acts who probably think they don't have enough to go up against them," the vocalist added.

So, on Monday the Canberra Indie Band wrote on their Facebook page. They said, "This might just be coincidence but to us it looks like either the people at Ariana Grande's label or the film maker have seen our clip for 'You Are The One' & reworked the concept a little bit and then straight up stolen and copied some bits...(ESPECIALLY THE END!)"

The day after this, fans defended the singer. They said that Ariana Grande's "One Last Time" video clip was not a stolen idea and just happened to be a coincidence.  The band also said that because of those diehard fans flooding them with messages and death threats, it's like they are real pop stars now!
