Jack Nicklaus still holds the record for major awards in golf. This man seems to have a magic power whenever he plays golf because every time he aims to shoot a ball, it shoots without a doubt.

Born on January 21, 1940, Jack Williams Nicklaus is the son of Helen and Charlie Nicklaus from Columbus Ohio.  He was introduced to golf when his loving father was looking to recover a broken ankle. While his father was busy with his ankle, Jack showed his prodigy in golf, shooting a fifty one over 9 holes at the age of ten at Scioto Country Club. Since then, he was tutored and trained in the same country club by golf professional Jack Grout to become even more knowledgeable and professional in the sport.

 At the age of 16, we won his first battle in golf at the Ohio Open. Next year, he won again at the International Jaycee Junior Golf Tournament. While he was a student at Ohio State University, he won the title at the US Amateur in year 1959 and the NCAA Championship 1961. Jack as well served notice to being one of the top players in golf through finishing 2nd at the US Open in 1960 with an amateur -record score of two hundred eighty two. In November 1961, he turned a real professional in the sport.

From here, starts Jack's magnificent career in golf. Now, Jack holds the record for winning the most majors in golf championship. During his career, he won exactly 18 major awards in golf. Second to his record is Tiger Woods who have won fourteen majors up to date. Tiger's most recent key victory was the 2008 US Open. Third to Jack is Walter Hagen who won 11 majors. He and Jack both won most of the PGA Championships.
