Sergio Garcia’s Great Escape Keeps in Contention

According to Yahoo Sports, Sergio Garcia was not in good shape after his tee shot at par-3 13th in Round three during the Northern Trust Open. However, he admitted that his par at the Riviera Country Club's 13th hole was one of the best for him.

Garcia stated that he would place it on his top three, which actually came through way of the 10th hole after the errand shot of the Spaniard from the 13th tee that ended up in the bunker behind the green at ten.

This was a surprise for the American golfer Ryan Moore who was actually standing over the putt at the 10th when the ball of Garcia came out of nowhere as well as plopped into the bunker behind where he is standing.

Garcia said that he did not even know there was someone on the10th hole. He admitted that he did not know where his ball was going. He faced a hard shout out of the bunker between the tree back and television tower toward 13th green. He added that the hard part of it was that he was a bit of a downslope in the bunker and the ball was a bit above his feet, which led him to hit like a low cut that went underneath branches.

Zeenews also reported that Garcia have hit some beauties as well as shockers.

Garcia actually had two choices. One is to take out the wedge and lay up over the trees with an outside opportunity of creating par and the second is to go for the green by the tiniest of windows with the long iron and have the chance to make par. Garcia considered the latter and it worked successfully.

At the end, Garcia effectively get up and down for the par on one of the toughest holes in Riviera Country Club. He posted three under 68 to reach five under the total of 54 holes and he's in position for his very first PGA Tour to win since 2012 Wyndham Championship.
