80's Cartoons Trending on Facebook

Recently, the much beloved 90s and 80s afternoon series "Ducktales" is getting a reboot in today's new generation.

According to Q13Fox, Disney has announced the new animated comedy series, which will be based on the original cartoon. Specific date for its official launched is not yet detailed, but Disney hinted that it will be aired in 2017 on the Disney XD channels across the globe.

Based on the statement of Disney in D23, the new adventure series will once again take the viewers along as Scrooge McDuck together with his mischief-making and curious grandnephews including Dewey, Hewey, and Louie, as well as Donald Duck with their high-flying adventures around the world. Some beloved characters slated to be in the new series are Gyro Gearloose, Duckworth, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys like Bouncer Beagle and Burger Beagle, Webbigail Vanderquack, Mrs. Beakley, Magica DeSpell and Poe, Launchpad McQuack, and Flintheart Glomgold.

Once announced, the news instantly became trending on Facebook.

The trend has something to do with the popular Facebook Cartoon Profile Picture Week, which started on November 16, 2015 to promote the utilization of an avatar rather than the real photo of themselves on their Facebook profile. The trend of the best 80s cartoons list started in Greece and Cyprus, which desire to get rid of human photos off the popular social networking site that time.

Facebook is no doubt a powerful social media site as in just several weeks, internet users became crazy about 80s cartoons. 80s cartoons like Transformers are also becoming a huge hit, especially to kids.
