Tomb Raider Reboot With its New Writer

The latest update on the reboot of Tomb Raider movie has been released online. According to Deadline post, Warner Bros will distribute the film where Evan Daugherty, the writer of Divergent, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Snow White and the Huntsman, and the upcoming G.I. Joe 3, will write the film script.  Benderspink, Atty Jeff Frankel and UTA represent him. Tomb Raider is the reboot of video game property with enticing heroine.

 Reportedly, Warner Bros will be joining MGM and Graham King in producing the film. GK Film is the one to develop the movie while MGM came on board to co-finance and co-produce the reboot of the Tomb Raider movie. The Wrap's Jeff Sneider indicating the partnership between these studios is designed to fast track the production of the project confirmed the news.  The new film reboot of Tomb Raider is expected to fit together with 2013's Tom Raider game reboot with younger actress to guide viewers to the main character's early days adventure.

Tomb Raider is a successful video game that comes into film in 2001 where Angelina Jolie had played the role of the video game's fetching heroine, Lara Croft. Lara Croft is described as a bad-ass gun-toting Indiana Jones' female version. After the video games successful launching in 1996, two successful movies with Angelina Jolie playing Lara Croft has hit the screen in 2001 and 2003 which brought the character of the movie much in public consciousness.

According to latest film updates, the latest Tomb Raider movie is a full-on reboot, as it will feature a younger Lara Croft that is going in her first adventure. The flow of the new story then will be up to new writer, Daugherty, now. Marti Noxon was also recently attached to write the screenplay of the film.
