Gary Glitter Sentence for Abusing Young Girls

Former pop singer Gary Glitter, who is Paul Gadd in real life, has received his sentence of sixteen years imprisonment today, February 27, 2015. It was subsequent to being convicted for sexually abusing 3 young girls between 1975 and 1980, according to news.nationalpost.com. However, now seventy years of age Gary gave no response during the sentence declaration.

Most particularly, the conviction of Gary Glitter early this month involves 1 count of attempted rape, 1 count of sexual interaction with a 13 year old teen and 4 counts of indecent assault. Gary Glitter was under arrest in October of year 2012 by the national investigation team of British police named Operation Yewtee. 

According to abc.net.au, Gary Glitter started attacking his victims at the top of his musical career. Investigators stated that Glitter attacks those who are awed in his talent in singing.  Earlier at the trial court, Prosecutor John Price even elaborated how the drunken Gary Glitter struggled to force himself on a 10-year old girl way back in 1970s. His victim just came out after 20 years when she saw Garry has confirmed to child pornography charges in 1999.

Additionally, Gary as well attacked 2 girls, aging 12 and 13 after inviting them over to his dressing room while their mothers were gone. One of these girls, now on her late 50s, enlightened the court how a reeking of cigarette and booze Gary Glitter has placed his arm over her, giving her an uncomfortable feeling.

The singer was initially jailed in 1999 after admitting possessions of about 4,000 photos of child pornography. In 2002, he was deported from Cambodia over undetermined claims. In 2006, he was convicted in Vietnam due to sexual abuse for girls, which led him to be sentenced for 3-year imprisonment. Now, after returning to London, he became one of the latest high-profiled personalities in Britain to be convicted of historic sexual abuse cases.
