National Beer Day 2015: Check Out Holiday’s History … And Which Musicians Have Their OWN Breweries! [VIDEOS]

Over the last few years, the world has seen an explosion in everything that has to do with craft beers, with different brands slipping into the mainstream, as there's more power to local breweries all over the country - and the National Beer Day 2015 is the time to celebrate!

Craft beers have exploded in the worldwide market lately, and a Brazil group has even launched a red Feminist Beer, vowing not to publicize it with sexist ads with scantly clad women - for those who believe in the cause and are currently in Brazil, taking a sip could be a great idea for National Beer Day 2015!

In any case, a lot of delicious pop culture treats have their own holidays, both inside the United States and throughout the rest of the countries, including National Frozen Yogurt Day and World Nutella Day, besides pizza getting its own holiday - so it's no surprise to find that there's a National Beer Day 2015!

While those with weaker stomachs (or rather, livers) might still be recovering from St. Patrick's Day or even from excessive McDonald's Shamrock Shake, those who are willing to go for a new adventure that could potentially include some major hangovers later on can find out more about National Beer Day 2015 here!

According to Tech Times, the history of National Beer Day 2015 actually goes way back, all the way to US history in one of its oddest times: Prohibition.

In 1919, the US Congress approved the Constitution's 18th Amendment, which banned the making and sale of alcohol in the entire country, starting the Prohibition, one of the greatest marks of the Roaring '20s, as people had to find illicit ways to drink and party.

More than a decade later, these times ended in 1933, when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act, which allowed the sale and consumption of alcohol in the country - it came into effect on April 7, marking the National Beer Day 2015 holiday in the calendar for future generations to come!

Funnily enough, there are a few music bands out there that take this holiday (or rather, the beer industry) very much to heart, to the point that they've even released their own brands of beer!

According to Music Times, there are at least 7 major living musicians that have their own breweries:

1. 90s boy band megastars Hanson, who even created their own music festival around the product in their hometown, the Hop Jam Craft Beer & Music Festival.

2. Heavy metal band Iron Maiden, as leader Bruce Dickinson, a craft beer aficionado, teamed up with the UK's Robinson's Brewery to create Trooper, the band's signature beer.

3. Frank Turner, who collaborated with Signature Brew in the making of brand Believe.

4. Pearl Jam, who commemorated the 20th anniversary of their album "Ten" with Dogfish Head brewery beer Faithfull Ale.

5. The Grateful Dead, also teaming up with Dogfish Head for their American Beauty beer.

6. Hootie & The Blowfish, teaming up with Rock Brothers for Hootie's Home Grown Ale

7. KISS, who launched its European beer brand a few years back, Destroyer.
