Golden State’s Stephen Curry OK after Scary Game 4 Fall

Golden State Warriors point guard and reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry said that he'll be fine after suffering a scary fall during his team's 128-115 loss to the Houston Rockets in game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.

Curry put fans at ease when he spoke with Marcus Thompson of the Contra Costa Times. "I felt like R. Kelly in that video where the angels carried him away," Curry said, playfully making his body limp to re-enact the scene. "It felt like I was in the air forever."

The incident occurred during the second quarter of the game when Curry leapt to contest a shot by Rockets forward Trevor Ariza. The Warriors superstar guard collided with Ariza and landed awkwardly on his head, neck, and upper back. He was immediately taken to the locker room to undergo tests for concussion-like symptoms. "I wasn't exactly sure who it was; I was just trying to pump fake and get somebody off their feet," Ariza said. "I didn't know that he flipped over or whatever the case was. It wasn't intentionally or anything like that; I was just trying to make a basketball play."

Medical personnel gave Curry the go ahead to return to the game in the second half. However he looked off his game, missing 7 out of 11 shots as he and his teammates were unable to put away the Rockets, who staved off elimination. Curry finished with 23 points in 31 minutes of action.

Game 5 of the best of 7 series will take place on May 28, 2015 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. Golden State currently leads the series 3 games to 1 and can book a ticket to the NBA finals with a win tomorrow. The winner of the series will face Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who finished off a 4-0 sweep of the Atlanta hawks today.
