Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke Explains Why She Turned Down Fifty Shades Of Grey

The Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke was among the contenders to play Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, but she turned down the role.

As Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones, Emilia is already used to showing some skin on screen, so it was quite a bit of a shocker when the actress who played Khaleesi dumped the role that could have turned her into a movie star.

In a recent interview with the UK edition of Marie Claire, Clarke explained that she did not want to be typecasted and turning down the role was a difficult decision for her.

“I really wanted to work with [Fifty Shades director] Sam Taylor-Johnson because she’s f–king amazing,” she told the magazine during her cover shoot interview. “But there is a huge amount of nudity in the film. I’ll never say, ‘I’m never doing nudity,’ because I’ve already done it, but I thought I might get stuck in a pigeonhole that I would have struggled to get out of.”

The 28-year-old actress looked stunning in her Marie Claire photo shoot. One of the pictures showed her toned stomach in a cropped leather top.

Although the top featured a long sleeves and a neckline, but the big cut-out on the back showed off her creamy skin.

She wore a seductive eye makeup with a very pale pout. Her long hair was sleek and had a wet-look style.

She had multiple earrings on one ear, that added a rocker vibe to her seductive look.

The actress also admitted that she is too busy for love and the schedule of her work gets in the way for romance.

"I kept thinking that for clarity of mind, I had to be in one place. And then I just realised that's not how this life is going to work. It makes (relationships) absolutely impossible," Emilia said.
