She is basically encouraging people to use food in order to have that good in change in their life that they want.

The first thing she suggests is to learn how to think ahead and knowing how to actually have a list. Omitting some food that you think won't do good for your health is also something that you must do and must stick to it. Consistency is also key to this plan. You will also need some people who will support you with your plan to change your lifestyle into a healthy one. You don't have to be alone in this so go to your friends and loved ones you think would stood by you through all the process.
